Caroline Mesquita’s oeuvre is amongst the most significant in modern-day sculpture. Her fascinating body of work encompasses figuration, installation and the moving image, in an effort to bear witness to the important ways in which artists deal with volumes, bodies and space. As she seeks out a multifaceted, constantly changing identity, she questions the boundaries of the bodies and the materials that she uses.
